What Are pH and ORP?

Pure water has an equal amount of H and OH ions, making it neutral on the pH scale. pH is the measurement of acidity and alkalinity in a substance with 0-6 acidic and 8-14 alkaline or basic. Pure water is at a pH of 7. Most water isn’t pure and can be either on the acidic or alkaline side. Watertree water has a pH range of 7.5 to 10.5 and a negative ORP range of -70 to -100, making it a true Living Water.

ORP (Oxygen Reduction Potential) is a measurement of ion exchange. Substances with a negative ORP value can donate extra ions, but positive ORP values lead to ion absorption. All substances look for a state of stability either through shedding electronics or grabbing them. What does this mean for you? The human body needs to have a negative ORP and be on the alkaline side to properly function. 

Importance of a Negative ( - ) ORP in Producing an Antioxidant Water

When your water has a negative ORP value, it contains antioxidant properties associated with promoting anti-aging and cellular health. Positive ORP values are oxidative and have the opposite effect. Most water we drink, even alkaline waters, have positive ( + ) oxidative properties. Our water is Alkaline Antioxidant with Electrolytes, a negative ORP and NO chemicals.

The body is made up of oxidative and antioxidative properties. We mentioned earlier how important negative ORP values are for a healthy body. When you drink anti-oxidant water, it helps to regulate the body and neutralize excess acids. This can be a great help with Acid Reflux. 

Alkaline water with negative ORP values donate electrons that neutralize free radicals where positive ORP water does not. Free radicals can cause problems with lipids, proteins, and DNA.

After an extensive filtration process we push our water through multiple mineral filled membranes. This produces a Superior Alkaline Antioxidant water with a negative (-) ORP that aids in the reduction of free radicals.

EWG's drinking water quality report shows results of tests conducted by the water utility and provided to the Environmental Working Group by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, as well as information from the U.S. EPA Enforcement and Compliance History database (ECHO). For the latest quarter assessed by the U.S. EPA (January 2021 - March 2021), tap water provided by this water utility was in compliance with federal health-based drinking water standards. Number of Contaminants Detected 15.
